We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through our website or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Product Information

2.1 Nature of Handcrafted Products

All our products are handcrafted, which means:

• Each piece is unique with natural variations in wood grain, color, and texture
• Dimensions may vary slightly from specifications
• Minor imperfections are inherent to handmade goods and not considered defects
• Images on our website are representative but may not match delivered products exactly

2.2 Custom Orders

For custom furniture projects:

• We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin work
• Final payment is due before delivery or pickup
• Lead times vary and are estimates only
• Design changes after work begins may incur additional fees

3. Orders and Payments

3.1 Pricing

All prices are in US dollars and subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors.

3.2 Payment Methods

We accept:

• Bank transfers (for custom orders over $5,000)
• Cash (in-person only)

3.3 Sales Tax

Applicable sales tax will be added to orders shipped within California. Out-of-state purchases may be subject to use tax in your jurisdiction.

4. Shipping and Delivery

4.1 Shipping Options

• Local delivery (within 50 miles of Forestville, CA)
• White-glove nationwide delivery
• Customer pickup at our workshop

4.2 Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed. Factors affecting delivery include:

• Custom order complexity
• Wood drying times
• Shipping carrier delays
• Weather conditions

4.3 Inspection Upon Delivery

You must inspect all deliveries immediately and report any damage within 48 hours. Claims for concealed damage must be made within 7 days.

5. Returns and Warranty

5.1 Standard Return Policy

Due to the custom nature of our products:

• Standard stock items may be returned within 14 days for store credit
• Custom orders are non-returnable
• Returns require original packaging and condition
• Customer pays return shipping

5.2 Structural Warranty

We warrant our furniture against structural defects for:

• 5 years for frames and load-bearing components
• 1 year for finishes and non-structural elements

This warranty covers manufacturing defects only, not damage from misuse, accidents, or improper care.

5.3 Wood Movement

Natural wood movement due to humidity changes is expected and not covered under warranty. We provide care instructions to minimize movement.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Ownership

All designs, drawings, and specifications remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6.2 Photography

We may photograph custom pieces for our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.

6.3 Website Content

All content on our website is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the product
• We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for improper use of our products
• Claims must be filed within one year of purchase

8. Dispute Resolution

8.1 Negotiation

Both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiation before pursuing other remedies.

8.2 Arbitration

Any unresolved disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration in Sonoma County, California under AAA rules.

8.3 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by California law without regard to conflict of law principles.

9. Miscellaneous

9.1 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control.

9.2 Severability

If any provision is found invalid, the remainder of the Terms remain in effect.

9.3 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Wildwood Craftworks.
